Asami Sato is one of the richest girls in Republic City, and likely the world beyond, thanks to being the daughter of successful industrialist Hiroshi Sato, inventor of the now ubiquitous SatoMobile. Though wealthy and privileged (and accustomed to it), Asami has also developed a tough edge, having been put through self-defense classes since she was six, after her mother was murdered by a member of the Agni Kai bending triad. Growing up in and around her father's factories has also meant she's become an expert driver, in addition to having learned how to operate most of Future Industries' (known) technologies. Though sometimes prone to be spoiled and a bit silly, Asami is also consistently friendly and generous, often the first to offer a word of praise and eager to help others.

Asami is a tall, beautiful girl in her late teens, with long black hair (which has a tendency to always look perfect, even if she's just pulled off a helmet) and bright green Earth Kingdom eyes. (My real life reference for her at the moment is Satomi Ishihara.) Unlike others from her world, Asami does not have the ability to bend any element, though she does pretty well with an electric glove. As she was born in Republic City, Asami does not have a particular affiliation with one of the Four Nations; the Sato family is directly descended from early Fire Nation colonists in the Earth Kingdom, but her green eyes suggest intermarriage with an Earth Kingdom family.
